ALL SLAVERY IS NOT BAD!

Today slavery is a very hot topic amongst the BLM (Black Lives Matter). The BLM is protesting slavery and anything or anybody connected with owning slaves. In the United States slavery was abolished in 1862.

“The Emancipation Proclamation, or Proclamation 95, was a presidential proclamation and executive order issued by United States President Abraham Lincoln on September 22, 1862, during the Civil War.” Wikipedia

The first time slavery is mentioned in the Bible the whole nation of Israel were slaves of Egypt. (Leviticus 26:13)There are still all kinds of slaves in the world today. Human trafficking is the worst of the lot!

Even in the true Churches of God today there is slavery!

What does Jesus have to say about this slavery? First we must realize how slavery in the Church came about. Jesus first teaches us that we are baptized into the body of Christ (the Church)!

Romans 6:3-5 Or do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death? Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. For if we have been united together in the likeness of His death, certainly we also shall be in the likeness of His resurrection.

When Jesus died on the cross He conquered death and death does not have power over the body of Christ (the Church). Jesus shed His blood so that all the worlds’ sins are forgiven past present and future. Those who have repented and surrendered to Christ and confessed that they are sinners and receive the free gift of grace from Him are no longer under bondage or shackled in slavery to sin but have eternal life.

 Romans 6: 23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Ephesians 2:8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God,

9-10 knowing that Christ, having been raised from the dead, dies no more. Death no longer has dominion over Him. For the death that He died, He died to sin once for all; but the life that He lives, He lives to God.

18 And having been set free from sin, you became slaves of righteousness.

22 But now having been set free from sin, and having become slaves of God, you have your fruit to holiness, and the end, everlasting life.

God created man for a very high calling to be His children forever. Wouldn’t you rather want to receive the free gift of Jesus Christ than to be burned in Hell? Get on your knees now and ask Jesus to come into our life and if you are really sincere He will give you the gift of eternal life!

CONFESS YOUR SINS TODAY AND BE SAVED!

Always know that Jesus loves you!

He paid a great price so that you could be free of sin and receive the heavenly blessings of God the Father. Romans 5:8 God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Jesus was the Word!  John 1:14 The Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. Hebrews 1:3 who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the WORD of His power.

Jesus came to this earth as a flesh and blood man, at about the age of thirty; he started His ministry that only lasted three and a half years. He was taken by the Jews and given to the Romans and charged with treason! Matthew 27:28-31 And they stripped Him and put a scarlet robe on Him. When they had twisted a crown of thorns, they put it on His head, and a reed in His right hand. And they bowed the knee before Him and mocked Him, saying, “Hail, King of the Jews!” Then they spat on Him, and took the reed and struck Him on the head. And when they had mocked Him, they took the robe off Him, put His own clothes on Him, and led Him away to be crucified. He was scourged with a “cat of nine tails” until the flesh of His body was ripped to pieces. Jesus nearly bled out and was unable to carry His cross to Golgotha they found man of Cyrene, Simon by name and had him carry the cross for Jesus. The Roman soldiers nailed Jesus to the cross with huge nails in His hands and feet, later a soldier rammed a spear into Jesus’ side.

Jesus willingly allowed all these things to happen and died so you could be saved!

By His stripes you are healed! He shed His blood so your sins would be forgiven! You are the ones who are sinners and deserve to die but Jesus willingly took your place and died for you! He was in the tomb for three days and rose on the third day, resurrected to life and ascended to the throne of God in heaven and lives ruling over all things.

He did it all for you so you could be saved and live in glory with God for eternity!

Receive Him as your personal savior today! No matter whom you are or what you have done, Jesus loves you and wants to set you free from sin! Confess to Jesus that you are a sinner and you want Jesus to come into your life. Surrender yourself to Jesus now and receive eternal life. He is waiting to receive you now! Tomorrow may be too late!

Dear heavenly Father please help sinners understand this message and respond to it for all the glory it will give to them and You! In Jesus name, amen!

MAN’S DESTINY IS OF THE HIGHEST AND HOLY CALLING

People say this quite frequently, “I will cross that bridge when I get to it” In effect they are putting off doing something that needs to be done now until a later date. When you wait until tomorrow to do something that needs doing today: that something will become entirely different and never to the good.  “Procrastination is the thief of time” [Edward Young The Complaint: Night Thoughts]. To procrastinate means: “To put off doing something, especially out of habitual carelessness or laziness, postponing or delaying needlessly.” Does this sound familiar? Just about everyone has done that at one time or another. The more you do it the easier it gets! This is one of the most subtle tools of the Devil by demeaning you, lowering your status or character; degrading and humbling you. That is how diabolical it is! This is a major cause of the lost not looking to Jesus and surrendering their life to Him. Thinking you are making a very small decision, you don’t realize the enormous power it has over your life!

God pulls at the strings of your heart to acknowledge Him and to accept Jesus’ holy calling for your life today. Don’t put off receiving all the blessings He has piled up just waiting for you by becoming a procrastinator. Jesus loves you and wants to give you the Spirit of love, joy, peace, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. There are no laws against these!  John 10:10 The thief (Devil) does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I (Jesus) have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. (emphasis mine) 

God created the heavens and the earth; He created man in His image to inhabit the earth and man’s destiny is of the highest and holy calling to be sons of God. Ephesians 1:5 having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will. 

Why would anyone not want the holy calling that God has for man? I really think that they do but are simply being caused to hold a false belief; deceived thoroughly by the enemy, Satan the Devil.

Jesus, very gently says: “Matthew 11:28 Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” 

The words of a famous hymn say: “Jesus is tenderly calling me home.” 

Go to Christ now and ask Him in prayer to come into your life! Christ is the answer to all your problems! 

Seek Him; pursue Him, with all your might! 

JESUS IS WAITING! 

Dear heavenly Father, help each and everyone who reads this and need Jesus in their life to accept Him now as their personal Savior and receive the forgiveness of their sins and the glory of the Almighty God! In Jesus name, amen!

DECISION TEXAS THE LONE STAR TOUR with FRANKLIN GRAHAM

I thank God for His many blessings as He is most generous. I am happy to announce that Samaritans Purse and the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association are hosting the “DECISION TEXAS: THE LONE STAR TOUR” as they hold their event in San Antonio, Texas this coming Sunday, October 15, 2017. They are holding events in seven cities in Texas in the month of October. They are pushing hard to reach the unsaved. Please pray that many will turn to Jesus Christ during these events.

The Billy Graham Association is probably the first organization to utilize the internet evangelism to spread the gospel of Christ. They started their internet evangelism in 1994.

My wife and I have been supporters of Samaritans Purse for years and now we have been blessed with a special invitation to join Franklin Graham for a private reception prior to the Lone Star Tour event in San Antonio, Texas. GODS GARDEN OF EDEN TODAY

The bible says that God created a garden in Eden and put Adam in it. He then created all the trees. In the middle of the trees is where God put the tree of life and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

Genesis 2:8-9 The LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden, and there He put the man whom He had formed. And out of the ground the LORD God made every tree grow that is pleasant to the sight and good for food. The tree of life was also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

God also gave Adam the job of taking care of the garden. The bible does not say how long Adam was alone in the garden but it must have been lengthy because of all the things Adam had to do. All was done before Eve was given unto him. Adam was still alone when God gave him the command that he could eat of all the trees in the garden with the exception of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. God told Adam he would die if he ate of it. So Adam was aware of all the trees in the garden including the tree of life and the tree of death. Why he ignored the tree of life is a very good question! He was aware of it long before Eve was created.

The very essence of how Adam perceived the tree of life is very much like how mankind perceives eternal life today! They know it is there and that it gives life, but like Adam they are not interested. Mankind indulges in the sins and evil ways of the world (tree of the knowledge of good and evil) because they choose to do so; they are guilty of disobeying God and come under the death penalty. Those who choose life and confess that they are sinners, submitting to Jesus Christ and receiving Him into their lives are given the gift of eternal life. Their sins are forgiven, past, present, and future through the shed blood of Jesus on the cross. John 14:6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. The tree of life represents Jesus Christ!  

Genesis 2:15-17 Then the LORD God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to tend and keep it. And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, “Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat; but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.”

Adam and Eve saw the trees in the garden every day, and I still ask myself, “Why did they not want to eat of the tree of life”? The serpent really fooled them when he said they would not die but would know all about good and evil just like God does. They didn’t know that their disobedient act would condemn all mankind to the death penalty. (Remember that people who are deceived don’t know they are deceived!) Adam and Eve were driven out of the garden so they could not eat of the tree of life and live forever. Genesis 2:22-23 Then the LORD God said, “Behold, the man has become like one of Us, to know good and evil. And now, lest he put out his hand and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live forever” — therefore the LORD God sent him out of the garden of Eden to till the ground from which he was taken.

Now God sent His only Son down to the earth to take on the flesh of mankind (though He was still fully God) to suffer on the cross as the supreme blood sacrifice; and, by His grace, do away with the sins of the world and to die in our place so that He could freely give us His gift of eternal life. That is how great God’s love is for us! John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

Now is the time of salvation! Don’t keep following the sinful, evil ways of the world! Follow the “way, the truth, and the life” through Jesus Christ!

Dear heavenly Father I come praying for the many still living in sin in this world and ask that you would draw them to Christ as the truth of salvation is shared with them through the multitude of ways you have made available in this technical age by television, radio, Media, satellite, and the internet in the Christian churches today. There are still billions of people in this world who need to be saved and only You can make it possible. Open the doors of salvation to the unsaved of the world! Father You deserve all the glory! In Jesus name I pray, amen!

JESUS SAVE OUR NATION

I was reading an article by Billy Graham where he said that our nation had become so evil that we need a great revival. Billy Graham quote, “I am convinced that unless we have a great spiritual revival, we cannot endure much longer.” He goes on to say, “We must return to Christ, He is the only answer”! Yes, we need to have faith in Jesus, so let our faith do its spiritual work. The bible says in: Matthew 17:20 So Jesus said to them, “Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you. Therefore, faith the size of a grain of mustard seed is strong enough to move a nation back to God. This nation is in moral crises. We as a nation need to get on our knees and submit to Jesus Christ. Pray that the faith of Jesus in us will turn the tide of lawlessness, corruption, greed, and hate that is so prevalent to “love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law”. Galations 5:22-23

Now is the time for Christians to glow with the very body of Jesus Christ in them in every aspect of their lives. Show forgiveness when abused, turn the other cheek when confronted, pray for those who persecute you and mistreat you, never returning hate for hate but let the unsurpassed love of God triumph.

Jesus I pray that you will strengthen your Church, the body of Christ, and through the body by the grace and power of the Holy Spirit bring a powerful spiritual awakening and revival to this nation, the United States of America. I pray all to Your glory in Your holy name, Amen.

PROTECTION FOR THE FUTURE

III WORLD WAR

John 17:17 Your word is truth.

Now is a time of salvation! If you do not have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, pray to Him now! Do not wait until it is too late. Read the news, there are record breaking earth quakes in Mexico, and even worse record breaking hurricanes hitting the United States. Top that off with heavy saber rattling by North Korea and the United States not withstanding all the other wars and disasters all over the world.

HURRICANES

 Matthew 24:6-8 And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of sorrows.

EARTHQUAKES

God’s Word is true! Prepare yourself for what is to come. Seek Jesus, ask Him for help! He is waiting for you! Then your prayers will be answered.

STARVATION

Luke 21:36 Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass.

DESEASES

Time is growing short act now!

VIOLENT PROTESTS

Lord call those who will listen to the saving grace and mercy of God! Amen!

GOD’S GLORY FOR THE UNSAVED

The bible says that the way the world is today is the way it was in the days of Noah. Things will probably get much worse as the end has not yet come upon the world as described in Matthew 24. In Matthew 24 Jesus Himself answers the question of when the end shall come and what it would be like. If you believe the Word of God is true and that Jesus is the Word of God (John 1:1); then, the world in Noah’s day was as technologically equal to or more so than the world today. They had about two thousand years to develop technology and lived to be about eight or nine hundred years old, just think what Einstein could have accomplished in nine hundred years.  These are what I like to refer to as provoking thoughts.  

Mark 16:15 Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

Why these provoking thoughts now? Because so many things mentioned in Matthew 24 have already happened and are happening as I write and there are billions of people in this world who are unsaved and God clearly states in Matthew 24:14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come. We have a God given command to make sure everyone on earth has an opportunity to know about the saving grace and gospel of Jesus Christ so they can share in the glory God has waiting for them. God promises eternal life, a new perfect body, a new name, a new residence, a new city, a new world, a great reward, you will be a king and a priest and share His glory and His throne.

 Jesus came to this earth and became human flesh to establish His Church and shed His blood on the cross for the remission of all sins while all mankind was still in their sins. Jesus died on that cross in your place so you could live forever and receive the promises mentioned above.

Unsaved people are having the gospel shared with them by radio, TV, in the church pulpit, missionaries and by personal witnessing. But the fact remains that there are not enough unsaved people being reached by these means. But when God made the internet available, for the first time in history every household in the world can be reached directly or indirectly as never before.

If you are one of those that is being reached by the internet for the first time and are hearing about salvation through Jesus Christ right now, then praise be to God because you have the blessing of hearing about the God who created the heavens and the earth. Who loves you so much, that His Son Jesus willingly died on the cross, as the supreme atonement sacrifice for all mankind, so you could be saved and live in heaven with Him forever.

I pray that God open your heart to His Truth, now, as you read this and receive Christ as your savior. Pray for this salvation and you will receive it. In Jesus name, amen!
