I am doing a little bit of venting here as I see so much of the Word being ignored. This is only one of many I thought of. There could be a lot more said about the use of the Holy Spirit, the Lord’s Supper, speaking in tongues, and baptism just to name a few.  

Are there Pharisees in our Christian Church today who question Christ as they did when Jesus was alive? I often wonder why there are certain “doctrines” in every Church organization but they are not always the same. One believes theirs is the right way and another believes theirs is the right way. Why are there direct commands given in the New Testament that very few follow? Such as: James 5:14-16 Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much. These verses are surrounded by other commands that are commonly obeyed. Why is “James 5:14-16” ignored?

John 1:1-2 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God.

14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.

The Word was Jesus the Christ! The bible is His written Word. It is the Holy Truth of God! We must believe that with all our hearts. What He has preserved for us in the bible is infallible and it is obligatory that we do as He commands. The “Sermon on the mount” Is one command after another as Jesus reveals to us what is in the heart that matters. Jesus said He would write it upon our hearts!

Hebrews 10:16 “This is the (new) covenant that I will make with them after those days, says the LORD: I will put My laws into their hearts, and in their minds I will write them,”

Hebrews 6:1-2 Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God, Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.

Those are just some the spiritual laws of Jesus Christ in the New Covenant. The book of Hebrews gives an in-depth examination of the New Covenant laws. Praise is to God and that we always look to Christ for the answers and give Him the glory.
