Jesus Christ died  on the cross and took all the sin of the world with Him to the grave and He left it there. Then He arose on the third day a living body and is alive today.  Likewise when we are saved, we are baptized into a watery grave where the old body leaves all its sins and we arise into a new creature and newness of life, put to death in the flesh but made alive by the Spirit to eternal life. From that time forward two of the trinity Godhead dwells in our bodies. We are in the body of Christ and He is in us. We are also the temple of the Holy Spirit. This has to be the most, huge, awesome and stunning truth we have ever heard.

 Romans 6:11 Likewise you also, reckon yourselves to be dead indeed to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 8:10 And if Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.
